168 hour film project

“Babycakes”

Based on the Bible passage Jeremiah 34:8-11, this is a dark comedy about the difficulties in overcoming addiction.

The 168 Hour Film Project is a speed filmmaking competition where producers have  168 hours (1 week) to film and edit a 10-minute movie based on a theme and a Bible verse.  All films are  created  during production week to premiere at the 168 Film Festival.

Today's church is the movie theater and when the lights go down, the audience absorbs whatever worldview is presented to them. Let's fill their minds with the Truth of God's Love by using stories, just as Jesus did.

In addition to directing “Welcome to Sundown” and “Joseph’s Wheel of Destiny” and directing 2nd unit on “Break These Chains,” I helped produce “Babycakes” and “Waxing Old.”

“Waxing Old”

This short was shot in 2003 as part of the inaugural year of the 168 Hour Film Project. Stephen directed and I produced a script we both wrote based on the theme of Forgiveness.

A semi-homeless man relives a life-long animosity he has with his brother. TRT 10:36
